The Bridal Spray Tan Guide
Planning a wedding can be a stressful time for a bride. Let’s take the stress of booking your bridal spray tan for the big day.
Our most frequently asked question is ‘Will the tan transfer onto my dress?’ - We use our own brand of solutions and have formulated it with minimal bronzer added, there for there will be zero/minimal transfer onto the inside of your dress. If any it will be in areas your dress is tight and rubbing against the skin.

* Book a trial tan!
You will book trials for your hair and make up so why wouldn’t you book a trial bridal spray tan also?! Booking a trial ensures you get the perfect shade that suits you. Some brides like to book a few trials and try out a few different shade options. We offer 3 bridal shade options - Medium, Dark & Extra Dark, trust our experienced staff to help you choose the perfect shade to suit your skin tone.
A trial is always good to tie in with your make up trial this will help give you an idea of the complete look you’ll have on the big day.
Some brides like to book a trial for their hen, this gets you to see the shade and you’ll be lovely and glowing for the hen!
* Figure out the date you’d like to book your wedding appointment.
We recommend 2-3 days before the wedding date as this gives the tan a chance to completely settle onto the skin, gives you a few rinses and results in minimal/zero transfer onto the inside of the dress. BUT this is personal preference some girls like to book the day before as they prefer the colour on day 1. This is also where the trial run is important as you will get a chance to see the lifespan of your tan and decide which day you like it best (next day, day 2, day 3)
* Decide if your bridal party are wanting booked in also.
We can cater to groups with as many numbers as you like, they don’t need a trial unless they’d like to book one that’s fine with us! Normally the girls will get a chance to see the colour of you at your hen and 9 times out of 10 decide they wanna get one for the wedding day too!
We always recommend booking your bridal party in for a professional spray tan with you to avoid any DIY disasters.
* Prepare for your appointments.
Our professional solutions are best applied to clean, smooth skin, so you’ll need to ensure to prep your skin.
Exfoliate and shave/wax the days before your appointment. For the best results, we recommend doing this 24-48 hours prior to your appointment, and not immediately beforehand.
Pick up a body scrub and exfoliating mitts and gently rub over your whole body, especially typically dry areas like your elbows, knees and ankles.
After exfoliating, we do recommend moisturising, never moisturise within 5 hours of your spray tan appointment as this can cause a barrier on the skin a prevent the spray tan to develop properly in some areas.
It's best not to wear any lotions, deodorant, perfume, or makeup to your appointment as this may affect the even application of your tan.
